2024 iPad program information and set up instructions can be found in the 2024 iLearn@Algester iPad Handbook.  Students MUST be enrolled into Intune to access Wi-Fi and all Apps provided by Algester State School.

Algester State School will:

  • provide all Core and Year Level Apps for all students
  • use the Department of Education’s, Intune mobile device management (MDM) for all devices
  • continue to supply shared equity devices (1:2 or 1:3 ratio) to ensure every child has access to a device.

Parents / Carers will:

  • NOT be required to purchase any apps
  • supply an iPad for your child to use
  • download and enrol your child into Intune
  • set up your child’s iPad as per the instructions in the handbook.
Please email ict@algesterss.eq.edu.au if you have any questions.

Device Requirements

Algester State School has a shared iPad program.  This means that we use iPads for learning in every classroom in a combination of Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) and shared iPads provided by the school for students.  There is an expectation that all students enrolling at Algester State School will provide a BYO iPad and the school will provide loan iPads for students to share when this cannot occur at a ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 students per iPad. School loaned iPads cannot be taken home. It is our experience that the best learning occurs for personally owned iPads and not shared devices.
