​​​ Algester State School has a strong and vibrant curriculum that is based on the Australian Curriculum.  We collaboratively develop units of work that evoke inquiry and critical and creative thinking across all of the areas of the curriculum.  We also have a strong focus on digital pedagogies to deliver many aspects of our work.

  • Every child can create

Differentiation and personalisation of learning

  • We Collaboratively plan for differentiation 

  • We allow students to have choice and voice to personalise their learning

  • We use a range of strategies to differentiate including digital pedagogies

Collaborative planning

  • There is high ownership of units of work and collaboratively developed authentic tasks by the teachers of our school.

Capacity building 

  • We build teacher capacity through our coaching model and professional learning conversations and communities

  • Our teachers learn from and with one another to provide optimal learning experiences and outcomes for all students.

SAMR 

  • We Plan for transformational teaching – modification of tasks and redefinition of tasks in our classrooms.

  • We have 21st Century Learning Practices in our classrooms.
