We encourage you to explore this for yourself so you don't just judge a book by its cover, but delve in to investigate how it is performing against local schools, national schools and like schools. Algester punches above its weight with the local schools and performs on par or above with national schools. We also compare well with schools similar to our own. Upper Two Bands - Outstanding Results!
The Upper Two Bands is the new way of referring to children who are operating at an A and B level of learning. They are our top performing students. The following two graphs show how well our children at Algester State School are performing with significant percentages of our children in the upper two bands in English and Maths.
How well does your local school compare? If you have a bright child and you want them challenged with other bright children, then Algester State School is the place for your child. We consistently cater for the needs of our highest achieving learners and they continue to produce outstanding results!

Comparing schools with like cohorts
All schools are not the same and they attract different types of students. The MySchool Website compares the NAPLAN data of schools with other schools that have similar students. The following graphs depict Algester State School's performance compared to like schools as well as the two closest private schools. As you can see Algester is performing at or above its like schools. Both the other schools are yet to achieve this level of achievement.
