Fair Play Vouchers
Activate! Queensland 2019-2029 is the Queensland Government's new strategy to ensure physical activity can be prioritised in the lives of all Queenslanders. Activate! Queensland will provide quality infrastructure, increase opportunities to participate and collaborate in local communities where it is needed most.
Over the next 10 years, Activate! Queensland will assist individuals and communities to address the barriers that prevent or limit participation. The strategy aims to achieve lifelong participation through improving physical literacy in the early years and promoting more opportunities to be active within communities.
FairPlay vouchers is one of the initiatives of the Activate! Queensland strategy. In essence, it effectively replaces the program formerly known as Get Started Vouchers. Parents, carers or guardians can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 for their child, which can be used towards membership, registration or participation fees with registered activity providers.
There is a limit of 1 voucher per child per calendar year.
FairPlay vouchers replaces the Get Started Vouchers program. If your child received a Get Started voucher in January 2019, you cannot apply for a FairPlay voucher until January 2020.
31 July 2019 – Round 1 opens at 8am
9 October 2019 – Round 1 closes, unless all vouchers have already been issued
13 November 2019 – Vouchers expire and must have been presented to an activity provider

Referral Agents: If you do not possess a valid Department of Human Services Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and you believe you have financial hardship you can apply to a referral agent for a voucher. Our school principal is a registered Referral Agent for this program. If you would like to apply for a Fair Play Voucher through him, please email him on firstname.lastname@example.org outlining the reasons why you would like financial assistance for this program. There are only limited vouchers available.
We have only just been informed of the changes to this program and the opening date. We have been advised to refer eligible students as quickly as possible. So if you are interested please email the principal by Friday, 9 Aug.
